History
Emei Qigong is a hybrid school; it was started in year 1227 up on the
Emei Mountain by an enlightened monk,
Bai Yun “White Cloud”, who combined the techniques and knowledge from more than 3,000 schools of thought, philosophies, and methodologies to form this comprehensive system. The teachings were passed on only in the monastery. During World War II, the 11th Lineage Holder, Grandmaster
Yong Yan, decided the best way to preserve the knowledge for future generations was to mandate the position of Lineage Holder to alternate between and be shared by a monk and a layperson. The lay Lineage Holder will make the knowledge of Emei Qigong available to the public, while the monk Lineage Holder will teach inside the monastery. This system allows the knowledge to remain intact and pure.
Brenda Lee is the Certified Teacher in the Reno area who is trained under the current lay Lineage Holder, the 13th Lineage Holder, Grand Master
Fu Wei Zhong. You can find more information at our national website

Healing Tools and Books
If you understand Qi, you will know that empowered objects are important tools for healing. The Emei Qigong Empowered objects are unique as compare to other schools in that they are empowered with extraordinary energy through 49 days of exposing to nearly 5,000 special symbols and mantras by Grand Master Fu Wei Zhong and the Emei Qigong monks in the monastery. We also have books, CD, and DVD that are suitable for beginning students.
These tools and books are available to the public through the Certified Teachers. Please contact
Brenda if you are interested in getting some of these tools and books.
Seasons
As human being, we are very much affected by the seasons. This is not only true in Qigong, but also in the Traditional Chinese Medicine. Eating food that corresponds to the seasons will be better for health. Scheduling qigong practices to correspond to the seasons and practising qigong in the direction corresponding to the seasons will increase the benefits. Below are the dates that should be of interest to those who have attended some of our seminars and workshops.
